Port Everglades has once again been selected “Best U.S. Homeport” by nationally recognized cruise travel magazinePorthole. This is the second consecutive year Port Everglades has received the “Editor-In-Chief Award” as the best departure port in the country and has previously won the award from 2009 to 2011.

Porthole’s 2014 Editor-in-Chief Awards are presented to companies in the cruise and travel industry that have gone above and beyond in terms of service, quality, and excellence. The awards are featured in the February 2014 issue of Porthole Cruise Magazine, as well as online at and throughout Porthole’s social media sites.

In the Spring, Port Everglades will begin a $24 million construction project to modernize, reconfigure and expand Cruise Terminal 4. The improved Terminal 4 will be ready to welcome cruise guests for the 2015 season.
