Port tenants and visitors may experience heavy traffic and delays this weekend, Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 due to a volleyball tournament being held at the Broward County Convention Center. More than 9,000 attendees are expected to attend each day. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the convention center area and use the port entrances located at Federal Hwy (US1)/ State Road 84 and I-595/Eller Dr.
Port Everglades is governed by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, which meets in formal session on most Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in Room 422 of the Broward County Governmental Center. Public Hearings begin at 2 p.m. as designated on the meeting schedule.
