Business Development Division

Property management, business permits, franchises, and various other facets of general port administration fall under this division. This division is also responsible for marketing containerized, dry and break bulk cargo operations at Port Everglades. Staff provides customer service to the cargo shipping communities and markets Foreign-Trade Zone No. 25 and other port facilities to the maritime community.

External Affairs and Marketing

This division is responsible for developing marketing and public relations strategies to draw additional cruise and cargo business and promote Port Everglades. The External Affairs and Marketing section handles public information, media relations, special events, port publications, advertising, social media and the website. The section also arranges port tours and speaker's bureau presentations for organizations and develops audio-visual productions.

Seaport Engineering and Construction Division

The seaport's extensive capital improvements program is developed and administered by this division, which has responsibility over facilities planning, architectural and engineering design, harbor maintenance/dredging, construction administration, surveys, engineering records, zoning, building code conformance, land development and a full range of environmental programs, including mitigation, wildlife protection, biological monitoring and environmental permits.

The Seaport Facilities Maintenance Division is responsible for all preventive maintenance and administration of a repair program for port facilities, grounds, berths, roads, and infrastructure systems The Division utilizes expert staff from many trades and professions to include electrical, plumbing and underground utilities, HVAC, carpentry, painting, interior alterations, loading bridge operation and repair, elevator/escalator repair, fleet and equipment management, overhead doors, welding, fendering repair, terminal workers, groundskeeping, warehouse operations for tangible and consumable goods, and construction project managers.
