Traffic Alert - April 26 - 28

Port tenants and visitors may experience heavy traffic and delays this weekend. Motorists are encouraged to include additional time to their commute.

  • Friday, April 26 from 6AM to 2PM -  four cruise ships in port. 
  • Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from 7AM to 3PM - Up to 10,000 attendees are expected at two events -- a volleyball and pickleball tournament -- at the Broward County Convention Center. Motorists should avoid the convention center area and use the port’s entrances are located at Federal Hwy (US1)/State Road 84 (Spangler Blvd.) or I-595/Eller Dr.

A Roadmap to the Future

Port Everglades is planning for 2023-2042 with an updated roadmap for future growth over the next 20 years that identifies $3 billion in capital investments to improve productivity for cargo, cruise and petroleum businesses that operate at the South Florida seaport. The 2023 Master/Vision Plan Update is currently underway. View the Tenant/Stakeholder presentation made on Oct. 18, 2023.

The current update to the 20-Year Master/Vision Plan was approved by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners, which governs the Port as a self-funded enterprise fund, on June 18, 2020.
